Regional game vs Jefferson. 4-1 loss

This game was a hard fought loss. Our guys worked hard but ended up on the wrong end of the board. Our trip to regional playoffs was short, but I think we realized we were up against some tough competition. The end of the season came as quickly as it started. VFW tourney starts next week.

Regional Tourney gm 1 Vs Edina Smacked! 10-0

Well, we knew we'd be up against a tough battle. The team worked hard but could not compete with the crisp passes and speed of Edina's top dogs... We struggled a little with backcheck coverage of individuals and let them bury the puck. A rough one for sure... Let's see if we can muster up some stuff for Jefferson!

District 5 play-off chapionship game vs MAML 4-2 loss

Well, our boys may have been looking a little ahead of MAML for the district championship. Our guys played hard, but, didn't seem to connect as well as we have in the past. Some great work by Skaja and a nice goal by Hall. Other than that, their goalie stood on his head. Looking to Regions on Friday!!!

District 5 play-off gm2 vs Sartell. 4-3 win in OT!!!

Man, an exciting game for sure. We dominated in shots 44-17. But the goals were even through regulation time. It took one 10 minute OT and part of another before Skaja buried a shot from the high slot for the emotional win. Let's kick some moose butt next weekend guys..... Nice work!

District 5 play-off gm1 vs Sauk Rapids 5-1 win!

Our guys looked a little sluggish in the first and second periods, but still managed to put up a few nice goals to keep going in the district play-off....... keep rolling guys!!!

District 5 gm vs Buffalo 6-5 win for the district Sweep!!!

The guys from stc bantam A played pretty well last night against buffalo. We jumped out to a pretty quick lead, then gave it up in the third. With 37 seconds remaining, Labine scored the game winning goal. Nice job guys on a great undefeated season in district 5!!!!!!

District 5 gm vs LDC. 7-0 win!

Another good showing for the guys on STC Bantam A! Goals by Bretty, Omann, Milroy with doubles each and Skaja. Way to keep up the hard work.!!!!!!

District 5 gm vs Sauk Rapids, 7-5 win

The storm put up a pretty good fight. Kept our guys working hard for their goals. Many contributors. Way to get the win to maintain the undefeated record in D-5!!!!!! Nice work again guys!

Scrimmage Vs Orono, 5-2 loss

Not our best game of the season. Our guys seemed out of sync for some reason. We have battled through injuries and missing players, yet we couldn't put a win together on this one. A little too much extracurricular activities tended to slow us and the game down. Seems unfortunate considering how well these guys can play together.. Be set for the last three games next weekend guys!

District 5 Gm VsHutchinson, 5-0 win

Our guys knew it might be a tough game facing Hutch for the third time. That didn't seem to stop them though. Bates on the board with a couple and a few points from Lommel.... A couple of nifty passes with Hall and Skaja connected for some great play both offensively and defensivley. Nice work guys!

Scrimmage Vs Blaine ouwich! 10-3 loss!

The first and third periods were great............ Our guys played Blaine well and kept scoring chances to a minimum. The second period really hurt though. We seemed to get down and then the feet wouldn't move, coverage was questionable in the D-zone and we let them get in our heads. Tough to come back from several goals scored in a few minute time frame. Hopefully we can learn from the experience and move forward.

District 5 Gm Vs Wilmar, 6-0!

Our guys kept rolling in D-5 as we traveled to Willmar on Saturday night. Willmar is a tough team for sure, it seems a shame they don't have more players to work with. None the less, our boys were ready to play and managed to get some great passing and forecheck going to keep the puck down in Willmar's end most of the night. Way to get the shut out for Fritzy!!!

What a game! Alexandria Tourney champs! 7-6!

What a great game! . Our guys cam out a bit flat at the start letting Alexandria get a goal on us early. We fought back hard but managed to let three other goals get scored in the second period. We came into the third period down 4-1 ended up coming back to tie it up with 34.1 seconds remaining. Had a few opportunities in the 5 minute sudden deat OT and were still tied at the end of play... Into the shootout... through seven players we went to have Althaus stand a guy up on the last opportunity... Hall, Reinholz and the game winner went to Wendt on his birthday!!! Alhaus did a great job through all the shootout... Awesome job winning the 'ship guys!!!

Alexandria Tourney gm 2 Vs Hutchinson 7-1 win.

Our guys came out flat and let the Tigers score first... They held us off for a period and then the can started opening... Bretty with another four goals, and several other folks with singles.... On to the Championship against Alexandria!!! Let's go get em!

Alexandria Tourney gm 1 Vs Brookings 14-1 win.

Our guys were ready to bring it to the SD team. Bretty bringing five goals to the mix!!! Mendel with a couple, and several other folks with singles.....nice work!

geyer signal Gm 4 Vs Littleton CO. 8-1 win!

I think the tie against Moundsview (the eventual tournament winners), got our guys rousted for an easy take against Littleton. Hall with the recorded Hatty and Skaja with a couple on the sheet (Although, we think he had another that they credited to Labine-on the bench :) An inside joke ). All good signs to see our guys pumping them in the net.

Geyer Signal Gm 3 Vs Mounds View 3-3 tie.

Even though we were outshot 41-15 our they all played up to their abilities. We had the lead until 2:30 or so remaining in the third period. Some fine goal tending by Althaus today.... Nice work guys!

Our guys came out flatter than we'd like to see with the one goal coming from Bretty's rush down ice... A tough Hastings team took it to us a little. We got out worked by a good team... Tough game in the AM against Mounds View.... Let's get em guys...

Geyer Signal Gm 1 Vs Grand Forks Sugar Kings 5-2 win.

Probably one of our better showings that early in the morning. Althaus with a nice performance in net and even got an assist!! Goals were contributed by several players.... Great game to watch!! Nice hard work guys!

District 5 Gm Vs River Lakes, Another win 11-1

Our guys were ready for some points yesterday... Kept moving the puck and good possession. Our guys kept their wheels moving and shooting the puck. Needless to say, Skaja, Bates, Reinholz and Omann had multi-goal games and many folks with helpers... Way to use the skills guys!

Scrimmage Vs Grand Fork Wheat kings 5-2 loss

We had no idea what to expect from the Grand Forks team. They were strong fast and seemed to move the puck well. Our guys came out ready to play and were using some imoaginitive plays to get quality shots on their netminder... The Wheat Kings obvious stand out was their goalie... Did a fabulous job. Lesson learned hopefully.... Keep shooting and getting those reidrects.

District 5 Gm vs STMA "Swept-em!" 4-2

A harder faught game against STMA although without as many penalties and strange calls... The boys got to business and got a few goals in net and held STMA off. Nice work boys! Another District 5 win!

Scrimmage Vs Centennial 5-4 OT loss

Our guys came out strong with Reinholz backhanding a goal in his first shift... After that our guys seemed to slow down and let the Cougars have their way... A few missed opportunities, a few mistakes and a different outcome... All in all, a good game for most of the players on our St. Cloud Jr Huskies.... Be ready for more guys....
