Hopkins Tourney Champ game Vs Andover 5-2 loss

Our guys were having trouble with two players down. Connection on passes was not quite there. A couple of bright spots with the two goals, however, a nice performance by Andover. Just have to connect on the passes and keep the feet moving guys... Duluth tourney in two weeks... Overall a good tournament for STC Bantam A!

Game 2 Hopkins Tourney Comeback kids! 5-3 Win!

Our guys came out a little sluggish again and let Anoka put up some shots and goals.... Skaja had a great game with four goals with helpers spread all around. Reugemer came up with a beauty of a tip to give our guys the needed spark.. Unfortunately, Wendt suffered a broken collar bone in the game. He will be missed. On to the championship!

Gm 1 Hopkins Tourney Vs Prior Lake, A win 4-0!

While probably not the teams' best hockey of the season, a win to put us in the winners bracket, is always good. With a couple from Hall a single from Labine and another single from Skaja the guys rolled over Prior Lake. Fritzy with a big shut-out. Nice job guys!

Scrimmage vs Centennial, we had to lose sometime.

6-2 loss. Boys were tentative and didn't engage the cougars much in the 1st and 2nd. A lesson learned!! Let's pick it up and do well in the Hopkins tourney guys!

District Gm 3 Vs Sartell, Man! Cross town rivalries are fun!! Another win on the books!

The atmosphere was electric... Many parents and friends in the stands to watch a bantam A game... Our guys jumped out pretty early with a goal and the hits intensified... Omann with the Hat! Final score 6-4. We let them back in the play late in the third, but prevailed. The cross town rivalry is a good one.... It will be a very interesting follow up game later..Nice job guys!

Scrimmage Vs Orono, Close, but, another win!

Our guys had some adjusting to do to step up their game a notch. Shots were pretty even when it was all said and done and at the end of standard time (3-15 minute stop periods) Orono manged a pretty nice come back from a 4-2 deficit. Again, goals were pretty well spread out amongst the lines which is a great thing to see. Orono was up for an overtime session since we had the ice until 9:30, Skaja buried one from an offensive zone face off to pull out the win 6-5. Way to finish in the end,but, I think we learned a few valuable lessons....

District game 2 vs River Lakes another rout!

Our guys were chomping at the bit and took all of a few minutes to score the first goal.... We let them have one opportunity early. Ended up with 11 goals spread over all three lines, but, our second year line of Bates, Skaja and Hall had the majority of the contributions to the score. Final shots were in the neighborhood of 49-11. Final score 11-1. Let's keep rolling guys.....Looking good!

Wow!! 11-0 Win over LDC, 1st District 5 game 11-14-2010

Our guys came out screaming, with some nice passing and plenty of shots to keep their goalie busy. We out shot Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato 57-8 and had contributions to the 11-0 rout by all lines and even some of the defense core. Way to work guys! Looking forward to our next few games.

Rogers Scrimmage -Success! 10-30-2010

Well, a hard fought game against a pretty good opponent. Our guys ended up getting some help from the power-play and hurt by the penalty kill. In the end we shot them equally 22-22 and outscored them 3-2. Great start!
