D5 Gm Vs Hutchinson, 12-29-2010, 8-1 win!

Some guys back from injury and look what we get, a team that moves the puck and scores. Effective control of Hutchinson throughout the whole game. We gave them a few opportunities, but, our guys prevailed. Nice job getting back on track!

District 5 Gm Vs Sauk Rapids Another win 2-1

Well, all to close... We let Sauk Rapids look good in my opinion. Their goalie did play well, yet, we really didn't test him with quality shots. Outshooting the stoorm 44-21, we had a tough time connecting and making plays. Still undefeated in D-5... Ready for Hutchinson on Wednesday!!! Let's come out flying guys!!

District 5 Gm vs STMA, 5-2 win but UGLY!

Our guys keep putting the puck in the net against other teams, this was no different. But, both teams became increasingly frustrated. Penalties and tempers flared. Not our best showing from the standpoint of having sportsmanship and honor. A win none the less. We remain undefeated in D-5. Let's have a good Xmas break and come back ready to play hockey!!!

District 5 Gm Vs Wilmar, The roll continues 5-1.

Considering Wlmar only had eight skaters, they did a fine job of playing our guys effectively. We had many opportunities we just couldn't quite capitalize on. Nonetheless, Hall with a nice hatty.... Another player down due to injury... We'll see how that goes. Way to keep rolling guys.. STMA on the 23rd... Next up!

District 5 Gm vs Sartell "Swept-em" up! 6-2

Our guys did a great job keeping the puck moving and the bodies hitting. Kept Sartell at bay with relatively few shots on our net. A few to many penalties, but, we were warned the refs would be calling pretty much everything....

Another disctrict win against our cross town rivals! A fun and intense game for sure.

Scrimmage Vs Blaine 12-16-2010, 5-1 loss

Our guys did play fairly well. I think we just run out of steam. We still only had 10 players available last night. We'll see what happens, looking forward to our District game against Sartell Friday.

District 5 Gm Vs MAML, 7-3 win

Guys came out ready to play, in spite of still being short a few players, they pumped them in... Another win in D-5. Way to go guys!

Spirit of Duluth Gm 4 Vs Woodbury..... ouwich!

Although the 6-0 score really did not show that are boys played well, the game was won by Woodbury capitalizing on our mistakes. Down to 10 skaters, our guys worked with relatively unfamiliar linemates and did what they could do. Woodbury was strong and took advantage. Rough Week ahead with MAML, Blaine, Sartell and Hutchnson. Need to pick things up again!!

Spirit of Duluth Gm 3 Vs Lakers 3-3 tie

A pretty good game overall, we had two of our plyers back... Much needed of course. Lakers were a good tall team! We managed to capitalize on some power play opportunities and tie the game up in the third. Nice work guys.

Spirit of Duluth Gm 2 Vs Wayzata 9-2 loss. Ouwich!

Our guys battled hard for two periods... Starting out the game with 10 players and finished of with nine, we simply got out worked by a talented Wayzata squad in the latter part of the second and the third period. Considering we led them for parts of the game, we felt pretty good. Wayzata had three full lines, we are jealous.... On the bright side, we may get to see these guys again in the regional playoffs.... Let's hope we have all of our guys healthy and ready to play.

Spirit of Duluth Gm1 Vs Marquette.. 5-5 tie

Injuries continue to plague our guys.... We feel like we have a good group of talented players, but, we seem to run out of gas... The Marquette team had three full lines they were able to roll at us... We out played them quite a bit, yet, we let them back in the game. We were at 11 players going in and had 10 after the end of the game... Ooof! Hall had the haty, with plenty of helpers from Skaja. On to the second game!

D5 Gm Vs Buffalo, 12-5-2010 8-4 win!

This game was entertaining and one we'll have some vid clips up from soon. Too many penalties were the name of this game.... We played well, but Buffalo kept pressing and causing our guys to get frustrated. Skaja with an impressive five goals! Way to keep rolling!

D5 Gm vs.MAML 12-4-2010, 5-0 win!

The boys came out ready to play. We handled MAMl Moose pretty well getting the shutout for Athaus.

Hopkins Tourney Champ game Vs Andover 5-2 loss

Our guys were having trouble with two players down. Connection on passes was not quite there. A couple of bright spots with the two goals, however, a nice performance by Andover. Just have to connect on the passes and keep the feet moving guys... Duluth tourney in two weeks... Overall a good tournament for STC Bantam A!

Game 2 Hopkins Tourney Comeback kids! 5-3 Win!

Our guys came out a little sluggish again and let Anoka put up some shots and goals.... Skaja had a great game with four goals with helpers spread all around. Reugemer came up with a beauty of a tip to give our guys the needed spark.. Unfortunately, Wendt suffered a broken collar bone in the game. He will be missed. On to the championship!

Gm 1 Hopkins Tourney Vs Prior Lake, A win 4-0!

While probably not the teams' best hockey of the season, a win to put us in the winners bracket, is always good. With a couple from Hall a single from Labine and another single from Skaja the guys rolled over Prior Lake. Fritzy with a big shut-out. Nice job guys!

Scrimmage vs Centennial, we had to lose sometime.

6-2 loss. Boys were tentative and didn't engage the cougars much in the 1st and 2nd. A lesson learned!! Let's pick it up and do well in the Hopkins tourney guys!

District Gm 3 Vs Sartell, Man! Cross town rivalries are fun!! Another win on the books!

The atmosphere was electric... Many parents and friends in the stands to watch a bantam A game... Our guys jumped out pretty early with a goal and the hits intensified... Omann with the Hat! Final score 6-4. We let them back in the play late in the third, but prevailed. The cross town rivalry is a good one.... It will be a very interesting follow up game later..Nice job guys!

Scrimmage Vs Orono, Close, but, another win!

Our guys had some adjusting to do to step up their game a notch. Shots were pretty even when it was all said and done and at the end of standard time (3-15 minute stop periods) Orono manged a pretty nice come back from a 4-2 deficit. Again, goals were pretty well spread out amongst the lines which is a great thing to see. Orono was up for an overtime session since we had the ice until 9:30, Skaja buried one from an offensive zone face off to pull out the win 6-5. Way to finish in the end,but, I think we learned a few valuable lessons....

District game 2 vs River Lakes another rout!

Our guys were chomping at the bit and took all of a few minutes to score the first goal.... We let them have one opportunity early. Ended up with 11 goals spread over all three lines, but, our second year line of Bates, Skaja and Hall had the majority of the contributions to the score. Final shots were in the neighborhood of 49-11. Final score 11-1. Let's keep rolling guys.....Looking good!

Wow!! 11-0 Win over LDC, 1st District 5 game 11-14-2010

Our guys came out screaming, with some nice passing and plenty of shots to keep their goalie busy. We out shot Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato 57-8 and had contributions to the 11-0 rout by all lines and even some of the defense core. Way to work guys! Looking forward to our next few games.

Rogers Scrimmage -Success! 10-30-2010

Well, a hard fought game against a pretty good opponent. Our guys ended up getting some help from the power-play and hurt by the penalty kill. In the end we shot them equally 22-22 and outscored them 3-2. Great start!
